Skills Project Launch in Soroti

The Rotary Club of Soroti Central, in collaboration with the Soroti Youth Development Initiative, has launched an impactful youth skilling project in the Arapai, Aukot, and Asuret sub-counties.

Thanks to funding from Rotary International, over 240 young people aged 18 to 30 have applied to learn practical skills such as tailoring, providing them with an opportunity to build a better future.

Local leaders, including Hon. Edoru Simon Ekuu and the Resident District Commissioner, have praised this initiative for addressing youth unemployment and reducing crime rates.  The project includes training, participant profiling, and access to sewing machines to equip youth with the skills they need to become self-reliant and job-ready.

The Rotary Club of Soroti Central emphasizes that this is just the beginning. Together, we can create a safer, more skilled, and empowered Soroti!!
